G Marks The Spot: Could a G-Shot Injection Dramatically Improve Your Sex Life?

All we'll say is yes, it is as painful as it sounds but no, it's not guaranteed to give you an amazing sex life.

There are plenty of things we’d do in order to have some amazing sex, but getting an injection into our hoo-hah isn’t one of them. Trust us. We were more than a little grossed out when we heard about the latest trend that’s sweeping America – ladies, have you ever heard of the G-Shot?

Let’s just say that it is exactly what it sounds like. (Ew, we know). The Huffington Post reports that women on the West Coast of America are flocking to the doctors to avail of the G-Shot – a $1,000 injection into their G-spot that promises months of enhanced sexual pleasure and heightened orgasms.

You know what’s worse? It’s become a “lunchtime” procedure. Yes, women are toddling off to the doctor’s surgery on their lunch break to have a syringe full of hyaluronan (a collagen-based filler) injected where the sun doesn’t shine.

Why are they putting themselves through this? Well, the idea is that a collagen-filled G-spot would be bigger, and thus easier for their men to find. And that subsequently this would result in a better sex life.

We’ll be honest and admit that we just don’t see the attraction here. However, the popularity of the procedure is showing no signs of going away any time soon.

Women claim that the injection dramatically improves their sex lives

“I want to empower and educate, and for women to be in tune with themselves,” said Dr David Matlock, the gynaecologist who invented the G-Shot.

Dr Matlock runs the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of America and, according to reports, he organises informational “G-Shot parties” at his clinic on a regular basis. (Because nothing screams ‘fun!’ like a G-Shot party…)

Anyway, there are two sides to every story and while women are hoping the procedure will improve their sex lives, BatSheva Marcus, the clinical director of the Medical Centre for Female Sexuality in New York, said that even an enlarged G-spot may not have any effect on some women.

“For some women, G-spot stimulation feels great, for others, not so much. For women who don’t normally get pleasure from that area, they won’t feel much of an effect,” said Ms Marcus.

So basically you go undergo the procedure and not feel any life-changing results? Eh, thanks, but no thanks.

What do you think ladies? Is it G-shot taking things a little bit too far?
