The next time you’re doing a spot of grocery shopping, you might want to keep an eye out for foxes. Why? Well apparently a clever fox has “mugged” a woman of her shopping in London. Seriously.
Metro reports that Louisa Powers was walking back home after doing her grocery shopping when a fox appeared in front of her. The fox stopped directly in her way.
Doing what any other person would do in such a situation, the mother-of-two walked by the fox. This is where it gets a bit random…
According to Ms Powers, the fox then began to harass her and follow her.
“The fox sniffed my grocery bag and started walking after me. I sued my handbag to try and shoo it away, but as I looked around, it was on my heel snarling at me. I ran away, and it jumped up and grabbed the food bag out of my hand, running off with all my food,” said Ms Powers.
Never trust a fox, apparently…
Crazy or what? Disturbingly enough, this isn’t the first time a fox has mugged someone.
Digital Spy reports that last month, a woman was getting into her car when a fox appeared from nowhere and grabbed her handbag.
“We were in the car park, and he looked at me for a few seconds before letting out this feeble yelp. Next thing I knew he had my wife’s handbag in his mouth and was running towards the bushes,” said Jeremy Clark, the husband of the woman who had her bag stolen.
“Anna [his wife] had everything in there: her phone, money, purse, keys and letters. I couldn’t believe the fox had just taken it – it was mad,” he added.
However this story has a happy ending, unlike Ms Powers’ groceries, Mrs Clark’s handbag was returned by the same fox who stole it.
Apparently the fox returned to the car a few minutes later and dropped the handbag at her feet.
“I have no idea why, we couldn’t believe it. We see the fox around quite a bit, I think people feed it,” said Mr Clark.
So the next time you’re going anywhere, beware of foxes. Don’t say we didn’t warn you…
