Apart from going abroad, it’s pretty hard to guarantee good weather for your wedding day.
The Irish weather changes as often as your knickers, and when you’re wearing the big white dress, chances are you want to rely on more than the Child of Prague for a rain-free day.
One company has stepped up to save your day… but it’ll royally cost you.
A cool €130,000.
While it won’t be making the budget for most, the service by luxury travel company Oliver’s Travels could be the ticket to the perfect weather for your big day.
Used by Prince William and Kate for their own nuptials, the costly service was also brought out for the 2008 Beijing Olympics… oh, and a Paul McCartney gig.
The service works by rounding up a ‘crack-team of cloud bursters’, with a team of meteorologists and pilots flying a plane above the clouds and sprinkling them with silver particles. The particles evaporate in the clouds, making them burst and vanish.
Oliver Bell, Co-Founder of Oliver’s Travels said:
“We pride ourselves on our quirky approach, and are thrilled to be able to offer such an unusual, unique service to our customers, to ensure their wedding is the talk of the town.”
The service, which is currently only available in France for the more ‘ordinary’ public (yes, we know €130k isn’t in the typical budget), is expected to expand to the UK and Ireland over the coming months.
