The 7th annual Food Film Festival is back with a bang!
The festival which is a celebration of food and film in New York is quite unique.
While watching the movie, the organisers serve up the food that the audience sees on screen. It’s been described as a “multi-sensory, full-bodied experience.”
This year’s festival takes place from October 23 – 27.
The Food Film Festival was created back in 2007 by Festival Director and Travel Channel host George Motz, the documentary filmmaker behind the award-winning Hamburger America film and book, along with co-creator Harry Hawk.
“Through documentaries, features and short films, the Festival showcases the best, and the most memorable, of the world’s favorite foods.” – It’s a pretty cool idea!
But it’s not just about the food – the festival is also a competitive event that presents awards in multiple categories including: Best Feature, Best Short, Best Super-Short, Best Food Porn, Food Filmmaker of the Year and the Audience Choice Award.
The Food Film Festival has now branched out to New York City, Chicago and Charleston and South Carolina.
Sounds like a different and tasty night out! Find out more about the festival here.
