See The Light
A free event that’s perfect for families with children, the People’s Procession of Light will be a celebration of art, music and dance, led by LUXe, Ireland’s leading specialists in creative, imaginative and illuminated processions and joined by the renowned Fidget Feet, Ireland’s foremost aerial dance theatre company. Expect stunning scenes as thousands of families and friends hold glowing lights and illuminate their way slowly through Dublin’s streets with fire breathers, dancers, stilt walkers and an array of music acts– culminating in spectacular style in St. Stephen’s Green. You can join the free lantern-making workshops, follow the easy online step-by-step home lantern making kit, or you can simply bring your own lantern creation or torch from home.
Absolute Madness
The act line-up is second to none for this gig. Homegrown hot talents The Strypes and Ryan Sherdian will be strumming for the masses. You’ll also get the chance to see the ‘original Sugababes’ back together under their new moniker MKS, and best of all, the legendary Madness will be headlining proceedings.
Making the Headlines
Last year, this festival was nominated as one of the top 5 New Year’s Eve attractions in the world by Lonely Planet. This year, you can expect bigger again, so join in with a crowd of thousands for a New Year’s celebration you’ll never forget.
Spectacular Skies
Is there anything more captivating than an incredible display of light and colour at midnight? Set your eyes skyward for a breathtaking showcase that will light up the skies above our capital, ushering in a new year in style.
Back for Brunch
The festivities don’t end when the sun comes up! Instead, partygoers will be welcomed back on the streets for The Big Brunch in Meeting House Square from 11am on New Year’s Day. Fun for the whole family, you can expect a mix of free events for adults and children alike – as well as delicious food!
