In recent years, Thailand has claimed one of the top spots for tourists visiting the east and rightly so. With delicious food, vast culture and breathtaking scenery Thailand is a must-visit destination for those who want an exotic break abroad.

But where are the best places to have some quality beach time?

Long Beach – Ko Lanta

Long Beach in the Krabi Province of southern Thailand, has been described as one of the most scenic and cleanest beaches in the country. Long Beach is a good place to escape the major crowds, especially during the low season.

There are also bars and restaurants there where you can sit and have a few drinks and enjoy the view.

Kamala Beach – Phuket

A lovely spot for some quiet time, Kamala Beach on the west coast of Phuket, is a must-visit place to go if you want to sit back and enjoy the sun with a book or want to work on your tan. The southern end of the beach can sometimes get busy in the tourist season but the northern end is nearly always peaceful all year round.

Peaceful and serene, Nai Yang beach is the ultimate place to chill out. The atmosphere is very relaxed and there are many amenities in the area should you wish to have a bite to eat or something to drink for a good price.

Railay Beach – Between Krabi and Ao Nang

Railay beach is located on a small peninsula and is accessible only by boat due to the high cliffs cutting off mainland access but it’s worth the journey.

This is a very popular area especially to rock climbers, but it’s definitely not one to be missed.

Kata Beach – Kathu

With easy access, this beach makes for a popular tourist attraction. A walk along the beachfront is highly recommended or you can simply just sit back and watch the sunset in the evening. The beach is a great place to have a swim or if you’re feeling more adventurous you can also go surfing.

Thailand has much to offer but its beaches are defintiely some of the finest in the world.
