If you’ve been dropping hints for a present that’s a little bit ‘naughty’ from your man, be careful what you wish for because you could find yourself quickly becoming the new owner of a pair of Fifty Shades of Grey love balls. Yes, seriously.
It looks as though the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon is still well and truly alive, as it’s just been revealed that the official range of pleasure (read: kinky sex) toys developed with author E.L James have reached record sales.
The Daily Mail reports that a third of the entire stock (which was intended to last until Christmas) sold out on the first day it was released for pre-order on adult website Lovehoney.co.uk. Who would’ve thought we’d all be so mad to get our hands on a grey men’s tie and a flogger?
But fear not ladies, extra stock is currently being shipped to the website in order to meet the huge pre-Christmas demand for some raunchy sex toys.
So what have been the most popular products from the range? Well according to reports, the Inner Goddess Silver Balls have been selling almost twice as fast as the other items. They’re described on Lovehoney.co.uk as perfect for women in need of a new ‘toning’ challenge. Sounds… more like Kegel exercises than anything else to us, eh ladies?
The second most popular item was the Insatiable Desire Mini Vibration and next up was the Yours and Mine Vibrating Love Ring.
The Fifty Shades of Grey sex toy collection has literally been flying off the shelves
Apparently Fifty Shades author E.L James worked with sex toy designers to ensure that the toys recreate the items used by kinky Christian Grey in the trilogy of naughty novels.
“We have been overwhelmed by the response. The figures show which pleasure products described in the books have really captured people’s imaginations,” said Neal Slateford, the co-founder of Lovehoney.co.uk.
“A year ago, silver balls were hardly known. Now millions of women want to try them in their bedrooms. Encouraged y the books, couples are buying the Official Fifty Shades of Grey sex toys and bondage items for Christmas presents in unprecedented numbers. It looks like a lot of British couples will spend Boxing Day handcuffed to the bed!” he added.
Speaking about the range of toys, E.L James stated that they were something she “always imagined” while she was writing Fifty Shades.
“I am so excited that the toys I described in the books have come to life and can now be enjoyed around the world,” she said.
What do you think ladies? Will you be asking Santa for some Fifty Shades handcuffs this Christmas?
