Fifty Shades Of Tame: E.L. James Reveals Her Next Book Will Be “Less Raunchy”

The author stated that she may even write it under a fake name to avoid any associations with her explicit past works.

Forget chains, whips and red rooms of pain because E.L. James has revealed that her next book will be far less raunchy than the explicit Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.

Yes, apparently E.L. James wants to tone down her writing and compose a less racy novel as the follow up to her naughty Fifty Shades novels. So we guess it’s safe to say that kinky Christian Grey won’t be making a cameo in it then?

What’s even more surprising is the fact that James revealed she was considering writing her next book under a pseudonym so she could distance herself from her sexy past works. The author said that she wanted to avoid any unfair comparisons between Fifty Shades and her new project.

E.L. James became a household name after the release of her Fifty Shades trilogy

Speaking at the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, James said that she’s finding it hard to cope with her sudden stardom and that her sons, while they are proud of her success, are also totally mortified about the fact that she writes dirty novels.

“I’ve got so many ideas for my next book. But it will be much less raunchy and I will probably write it under another name and be done with it,” said James, speaking to the Daily Mail.

E.L. James has already earned an eyewatering $9.8million from the adventures of Christian Grey and Anastacia Steele and she’s set to earn even more when the highly anticipated film version of her trilogy hits the big screen in 2014.
