Festival Fever – One of the Hottest Events in the Horse Racing Calendar Takes Place This Weekend

The world renowned Curragh Racecourse in county Kildare will be the setting for one of the biggest attractions in the Irish Horse Racing Calendar this weekend, as it plays host to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby. The race is a key date in the calendar for horse racing fans.

 Make no mistake, this festival is one of the biggest parties of the year and is not to be missed. The beautiful people dress up, turn out and party-on all weekend.

From the 28 to the 30 of June, the Curragh will host the three-day Derby festival which sees the world’s finest thoroughbreds compete in the Dubai Duty Free Derby on Saturday. It is truly a major world event in horse racing and features some of the finest racehorses in the world owned, trained and ridden by masters of their professions, competing for a prize fund of €1.25m.

THE DERBY MUSIC VILLAGE, featuring live music from Delorentos, The Original Rude Boys, Sharon Shannon and the Raglans, will be exciting addition to the entertainment on Derby Day this year.

THE DERBY FOOD PADDOCK will be open over all three days of the festival with some of Ireland’s top restaurants. Lunch or graze throughout the day!

CORONATION STREET STAR MICHELLE KEEGAN heads the judging panel to find the Most Stylish Lady on Saturday. The winner will win a 5 star holiday to Dubai plus Boodles Jewellery worth €5000.
