Feast Your Eyes on These Movie-Making Manly Movers

These movie stars certainly know how to move. All we can say is that we'd love it if they asked us for a dance some night.

Rebecca McKnight

These days, actors are expected to do everything from saying lines to singing and dancing in their films.

For these manly movers that didn’t cause any problems. And no we haven’t solely relied on musicals and dance films.

1. Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing It is the first film you think of when you mention the word dance and for that reason we simply couldn’t leave it out. Like Baby we reckon if Patrick Swayze taught us to dance like this, we’d fall in love with him too.

2. John Travolta in Pulp Fiction Probably the most memorable dance scene of all time, John Travolta sure knows how to twist. He has it all and if we were entering a dance competition we’d definitely want him on our team.

3. Hugh Grant in Love Actually – He’s got the looks and the moves as seen in one of our favourite romantic films, which might we add we have to watch every Christmas. Seeing Hugh like this makes us want to jump for his love.

4. Kevin Bacon in Footloose There’s not a person on this earth that doesn’t start kicking their feet out when this song comes on during a night out. Before this film we had no idea Mr Bacon was such a good dancer.

5. Arnold Schwarzenegger in True Lies – He wouldn’t be our first choice for a partner but having seen him tango in this action flick we’re rapidly rethinking our options. Also he’s so strong he’d be able to lift us with one hand!

6. Jon Heder in Napoleon Dynamite – It’s true, every geek has his day. If you need any more evidence then watch this 2004 cult classic. It’ll make you want to throw on Jamiroquai’s Canned Heat as soon as you get home.

7. Robin Williams in Mrs Doubtfire – The dude may look like a lady but this lady can throw moves with the best of them. We guarantee that your housework chores will never be the same after watching this.

8. Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder Tom Cruise really showed a different side to his personality when he got down for the ending of Tropic Thunder. Wonder if he’s available this weekend to hit the dance floor with us?

9. Blake Harrison in The Inbetweeners Movie– Now if there’s one guy we want to dance with it has to be Blake Harrison who plays the cute yet dumb Neil in The Inbetweeners Movie. From the first beat of We No speak Americano, he just makes us smile.

10. Heath Ledger in A Knight’s Tale This unexpected dance scene is so cool and understated that we can’t help but love it. Shannyn Sossamon was one lucky lady to have danced with the handsome Heath Ledger.

Now all we need to do is trap one of these smooth movers for the next family wedding and we’ll be good to go!
