It’s hard to believe that the Olympics Games are over.
But all good things must come to an end and so the closing ceremony of this year’s games took place in Rio last night. All the athletes gathered together for one last celebration and a special focus was put on Tokyo where the games will be held in 2020.
All the theatrics and special effects aside, the was one team who stole the show and that was the Great British athletes. They had special shoes which lit up in unison.
Some were red and others were blue and white.
According to Metro, they were made for the team by Simon Jersey, who has been the official supplier to the team. He also made white jackets for the athletes which featured an embroidered ‘thank you’ to Brazil in Portuguese and a ‘hello’ to Tokyo.
People all around the world are talking about their shoes.

They’re cool and all but who would actually wear these in real life? Great way to go out with a bang though for the closing ceremony.
