Yes, money talks, but in this case, it’s spouting absolute stupidity.
Donald Trump’s presidential campaign to date has been less than flattering to his public profile – from sexist comments to reporters, racist and derogatory comments to the Muslim community and last week’s imitation of a New York Times reporter who has a congenital disability.
Well the latest Trump blunder comes courtesy of a speech he made… regarding the use of the internet.
The man might be a billionaire, but it seems he’s obviously still greatly lagging in some of the more basic updates in modern technology.
During a televised speech addressing threats of terrorism, Trump decided to make a pretty unusual suggestion in a bid to protect mainland security.
His exact idea?
He wants Bill Gates to “close up the internet”….
Speaking to a packed media conference, Trump explains his theory:
“We’re losing a lot of people because of the internet. We have to see Bill Gates and a lot of different people that really understand what’s happening. We have to talk to them about, maybe in certain areas, closing that internet up in some ways. Somebody will say, ‘Oh freedom of speech, freedom of speech.’ These are foolish people.”
