Ed Sheeran was honoured with an MBE, for services to music and charity, at Buckingham Palace yesterday.
While he stuck to the tradition of wearing a morning suit and paid his respect to the royal family, he accidentally broke a major royal protocol. Royal experts have noted that when being given the badge, by Prince Charles, he shuck his hand and also touched his arm.
One must never touch a royal’s arm. This is a major no-no. Poor Ed looks blissfully unaware of his actions.

On the other hand, pardon the pun, Prince Charles doesn’t look too bothered and we’re sure Clarence House wouldn’t be sharing a photo if the old tradition still meant something.
