Dublin Newlyweds Are Searching For Your Help To Trace The Taxi Holding Their Missing Ring

A Dublin couple who tied the knot this weekend need your help to track down their missing ring – after one wedding band fell from the ring cushion on the way to the church. The couple, who used a ‘ring double’ for the ceremony are now hoping people might be able to track down the taxi where the ring was last seen on Saturday afternoon. Best man Darragh Doyle issued an appeal on Twitter for the ring, asking people to spread the word in the hopes of tracking down the sentimental piece of jewellery:

  Speaking to Her.ie, Darragh said that the ring had yet to be handed into the Dublin carriage office this evening. Describing the taxi trip, Darragh said that three women with Donegal accents hailed a taxi outside the Shelbourne Hotel just before 2pm on Saturday afternoon. The party was heading to the wedding in the Newman University Church on the Green – with the woman carrying the rings dressed in deep pink in the passenger seat. It is believed that the taxi driver, a gentleman in his 50s, may not have noticed the ring if it slipped down the front of the passenger seat. Darragh, and the groom Sean Earley, are urging anyone with information or a tip as to where the ring might be, to get in touch with the best man on Twitter here, or by emailing [email protected].
