And the winner is… Keith Hanly!
The Irish TV talent show came to a nail-biting climax tonight as the four finalists battled it out on stage for the winning title. Keith will now be offered a €100,000 recording contract with Universal Music Ireland.
Cork teenager Keith Hanly, 19, wowed the judges with his rendition of Madcon’s Beggin’ and performed a live duet with Ryan Sheridan.
And it was the public that voted for him to take the winning crown.
Mentor Bressie won the first series of the show with Pat Byrne and said there is a responsibility for the judge to look after their act after the show.
He said: “You don’t just let them off into the industry and say ‘good luck now’. The winner will need guidance and as a coach, that’s the least you can do really.”
Judges Bressie, Sharon Corr, Kian and Jamelia will hit the after party at 37 Dawson Street tonight.
Sharon is the only judge who has not said she is eager to return next year, she feels touring commitments abroad could interfere with the show’s schedule.
