Downton Abbey Casts More Big Names For Season Five Of The Show

With George Clooney and Matt Damon adding themselves to the fairly extended list of celebrity fans, it seems Downton Abbey could pretty much have their pick of whoever they fancy to star in the show. The latest celebrities to be cast in the upcoming series include the brilliant Richard E. Grant, The Hour star Anna Chancellor as Lady Anstruther and 24 actor Rade Sherbedgia who will play a Russian refugee, according to Digital Spy. Thankfully, filming for the fifth season of the show is underway and Downton will make a return to our screens in Autumn of 2014. The producers have also lined up another Christmas Special to look forward to this year, which is basically what Christmas is all about now. Downton executive producer Gareth Neame said of the new castings: "We are delighted to welcome these talented actors to the world of Downton. The characters they play are set to bring yet more excitement and intrigue to the show." We're pretty excited already.
