What? Not Nigel Farage?
Donald Trump has followed in the footsteps of the likes of Mahatma Gandhi, Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr and Pope John Paul II after being named as TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year for 2016.

Perhaps in an effort to quell the inevitable reaction to the news, in the opening paragraph of an article announcing the winner, TIME explained that their criteria this year, as it has been every year, is to select the person “who had the greatest influence, for better or worse, on the events of the year”.
In this, the 90th year of the award, using the logic above, it’s hard to argue that Trump isn’t a deserving recipient.
