The Easter Bank Holiday Monday was a very special day indeed for one mystery lady, if a new plaque on a park bench is to be believed.
Dublin’s Merrion Square was the setting for one of the sweetest proposals we’ve seen in a while, when an unnamed suitor asked Clare for her hand with a little help from Oscar Wilde.
As yet, we know nothing of Clare’s beloved, or indeed her answer, but one Dublin jeweller is now on a mission to find the couple. Voltaire Diamonds took to Facebook today to offer free wedding rings to the couple if they can be found… and assuming she said yes of course.
