Want to know if a partner is your perfect match? Apparently it’s a lot easier than the months of dating and awkward questions on kids, futures and life goals.
You can narrow it down to just three questions – well that’s what experts in Harvard are claiming.
So, what are the hints you’re onto a winner? If you both answer with similar responses to these three queries:
1. Do you like horror movies?
2. Have you ever travelled around another country alone?
3. Wouldn’t it be fun to chuck it all in and live on a boat?
Researchers at Harvard insist they’ve used the questions to determine a mathematical algorithm to lasting love.
While we can’t quite work out how horror movies reflect your couple needs, the second question relates back to the levels of independence a person requires in a relationship, with the third scenario taking a look at long-term objectives and compatibility of risk-takers or those more settled people.
Although we’re not totally sold on this new technique, it would save the awkward Spanish inquisition of a first date. It’s also hard not to love a theory that scraps the ‘ex talk’.
