A Leaving Cert student arrived at the exam hall with only three minutes to spare thanks to a garda escort.
A succession of unfortunate transport events meant that Ian Fitzhenry, from Limerick, had to get a garda escort to his first exam this week.
The unlucky lad missed his bus on Wednesday morning meaning he had to call a taxi.
As if that wasn’t stressful enough, Ian and the driver soon realised that with the rush hour traffic, they were unlikely to make it on time.
Thankfully, the driver spotted a garda car in his rear view mirror and managed to grab their attention to tell them of the student’s plight.
The extremely sound officers then switched on their lights and escorted the taxi to the exam hall, arriving in the nick of time for his English exam.
