Dermot O’Leary, a Dublin Home and The Duchess: The Best of Tonight’s TV

Forget about having to go back to work tomorrow, tonight is all about relaxing in front of the telly. Nelson Mandela – BBC Two (6.40pm) Coverage of the state funeral of former South African president Nelson Mandela, held in his home village of Qunu. The X Factor Results – TV3 (7.30pm) As well as revealing this year’s winner, there will be performances by Katy Perry, One Direction, Gary Barlow and Elton John. Hosted by Dermot O’Leary. Sports Personality of the Year 2013 – BBC One (7,40pm) Live coverage of this year’s ceremony which sees Andy Murray, Mo Farah and lots of other sporting stars up for the main award. The Duchess – BBC Two (8.40pm) Keira Knightley and Dominic Cooper star in this period drama about the life of the Duchess of Devonshire, Georgiana Spencer. Room to Improve – RTÉ One (9.40pm) An accountant and his wife are finding it hard to use the space they have in their large Dublin home so call on architect Dermot Bannon for advice.
