Following the news that Frank Kelly has passed away aged 77, tributes for the Father Ted star are flooding in.
The many memories and loving tributes are painting a picture of a man who was widely loved both onscreen and off.
A veteran of both stage and screen, Kelly starred in Emmerdale, Glenroe, Hall’s Pictorial Weekly and of course played the foul-mouthed Fr. Jack in Father Ted.
In a poignant symmetry, his co-star Dermot Morgan died on this day eighteen years ago.
Morgan’s son Rob and Father Ted creator Graham Linehan are among the many paying tribute to the acting great today.
Thoughts & condolences to #FrankKelly family & friends on their loss. A sad day. I hope they find comfort in the joy he brought others. #rip
