Former football star David Beckham and world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsey are to go into culinary business together.
In what seems to be an unusual move for Beckham, according to reports the pair are set to create a possible global chain of restaurants with the first being Union Street Café.
Beckham partnered with Ramsay after retiring from football and the chef has joked that Beckham will be his sous chef, say the Huffington Post.
Though the eatery hasn’t even opened yet, it already has had a slew of bookings – 2500 to be exact. Their London-based food venture is now fully booked on Fridays and Saturdays until November.
It’s clear that the excitement is building but judging by the restaurant’s Twitter feed, Union Street Café hasn’t even been fully furnished yet!
The Ramsey-Beckham venture is said to have a Mediterranean-theme to the menu. It is to open on September 16th.
