This lifestyle choice is a major turn off for a third of people

Would this bother you?

When it comes to dating, people will often look for someone who has similar likes, dislikes, and lifestyles.

If you’re athletic, you’ll probably want a gym buddy, if you love cooking you’ll want someone who lives in the kitchen. It is common to want similarities but not the only factor.

However, some lifestyle choices can be a major turn off.

It turns out that people are reluctant to date vegans.

Research carried out by dating app Trueview.me found that 34% of single meat-eaters admitted they would not date a vegan. Men were most put off by the diet choice.

77% of people said that they would not give up meat for a partner, so vegans are unlikely to get their other halves to join their ways.

The study found some other interesting results about what people like and dislike in potential partners.

Eating habits seem to have an effect on the choice of partners in more ways than one as 28% of people are put off by junk food lovers and almost 20% wouldn’t go on a second date with a fussy eater.

Drinking also has a major impact as over 1 in 10 people said that they would not date someone who didn’t drink alcohol, and 2 in 10 said that they would be put off by someone who drank too much.
