Cork airport came to a standstill this morning after a slice of toast got burnt. We know you couldn’t make it up.
According to reports the airport was evacuated for 10 minutes but no flights were interrupted.

People started tweeting about the incident this morning.
The toaster in question, which is said have set off at least two alarms, was located in the Custom’s area canteen.
Thankfully nobody was hurt in the incident which we think is the best thing since sliced bread (apologies but it was too tempting).

No flights were affected by the evacuation.
