We love a happy ending!

An 18-year-old with Down Syndrome from Dublin will be granted his Christmas wish this Friday, when he meets his heroes Take That in Dublin.

Conor Kenny’s sister Fauve took to social media earlier this week to reveal that brother is the band’s biggest fan and had previously travelled to Glasgow and Belfast to see them, as well as having Gary Barlow’s face on his birthday cake.

She then appealed to RTÉ to arrange for Conor to finally meet his heroes, garnering huge support over the past week.

While RTÉ had initially said that they could not arrange the meeting in a reply to a tweet from Fauve, a producer later called to apologise for the automated reply and promised that they would do their best to make the arrangement.

And there was good news for the family this morning, when Ryan Tubridy announced on his 2FM show that front row tickets to the filming of the band’s appearance on The Late Late Show and a meet and greet had been arranged for Conor and Fauve.

We love a happy ending!
