Co-Creator Confirms Glee Will End After Next Season

Glee’s co-creator has not only revealed that the hit show will end after the next series but that the ending will not be as originally intended. Ryan Murphy admitted that plans for the final (sixth) season will have to be changed following the death of Cory Monteith as it was meant to focus around his character Finn and Rachel (Lea Michele). The final season was supposed to focus around Rachel and Finn's story. He told Variety magazine: “I always knew that, I always knew how it would end. I knew what the last shot was, he was in it. I knew what the last line was, she said it to him. “So when a tragedy like that happens you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we’re figuring that out now.” Ryan Murphy with Jane Lynch, Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison. According to reports the series has been suffering in terms of ratings recently although the tribute episode, The Quarterback, brought in over seven million viewers.
