We will admit we had to look twice. Was it Enda Kenny on the cover of TIME? Or was it one of the internet’s innately talented Photoshoppers having a laugh with the people of Ireland?
It was Enda. We had to stop our jaws dropping to the floor. The face of Kenny on one of the world’s most famous magazines was bemusing enough, but when he gazed pensively at us with ‘The Celtic Comeback’ headlined beside him we had to allow ourselves a little giggle.
A but premature perhaps?
Our country may be slowly, ever so slowly, getting back on its feet, but we’d hardly brand it the ‘Celtic Comeback’. What made it even funnier was Ryan Tubridy trying to explain how Enda made the cover on The Late Late Show last night.
And what could make it more hilarious still is the Photoshopping that has already begun online…
