The Irish author has had another one of her books picked up by filmmakers.

Rebecca McKnight

Cecelia Ahern has done it again as her novel Where Rainbows End is to be transformed for the big screen.

That’s right, as with PS, I Love You, American filmmakers are eager to turn the book into a film.

Ahern’s first novel PS, I Love You was made into a film.

The story, which centres around two childhood friends one of which discovers she is pregnant, is to be renamed Love, Rosie for the US market.

And the lead roles have been cast already with model Lily Collins and Sam Claflin from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire set to star.

The story has captured the attention of filmmakers.

David Garrett, CEO of Mister Smith Entertainment which has licensed the film, told the Irish Independent about the appeal of Ahern’s novel.

“It absolutely hits a very particular, targetable and marketable demographic, the 18-35 female audience.” Guess that’s one movie to put on the list then so!
