The incident occured in Phoenix in the US, and the animal, called Gypsy, wasn't rescued until today. A very brave man finally climbed all the way to the top yesterday, and brought the cat back down safely. According to a neighbour, Gypsy is a 'neighbourhood cat' and everyone in the area feed and water him, making sure he's happy and healthy.Live feed explaining rescue efforts, including using a bucket at the end of a long pole. “The cat was not messing with that bucket and just looked at the bucket.”

She also commented however, that it's "not unusual" to not see him for a few weeks at a time. "I know him well enough that he could have jumped and knowing him he probably would have but thank goodness he didn't cause that it is kind of high for a cat," the neighbour told Arizona Family.
