Reports are in that the people of Carrick on Shannon are breathing a sigh of relief this Monday morning after a particularly wild Hen Party. Complaints made by passengers on the train first alerted the town towhat may be ahead but nobody predicted the impact that “Princess” Aisling Murray and her chicks would have on the town in less than 24 hours.
First stop Boda Borg, a usually fun and friendly adventure centre, had the group turn on each other with a series of challenging and mind boggling tasks. Suspiciously, it was Team Princess that won. We caught up with staff at Boda Borg “We have never seen anything like them… we’re not saying that the Princess cheated but nobody has ever completed so many of the tasks”
The girls returned back to their rental accommodation and things seemed to quieten down as they got ready for their night out, but this was just the calm before the storm.
After a dinner and drinks in a local Chinese restaurant the girls boarded the Moon River cruise. A popular choice for Hens and Stags, usually the Moon River is prepared for everything but this weekend something was different. “At one stage we nearly turned the boat around but their dancing and their beauty was hypnotic, we were mesmerised” one member of staff said.
It is reported that the group returned back to their accommodation after they rocked the party boat, to indulge in more drinks and quiz the Princess on her husband to be. After many shots were consumed the group targeted local bar “Dunnes” as their next port of call. Rumours are rife that the group cleared the dancefloor as nobody else felt worthy to dance in their presence and the few who tried hung their heads in shame when their moves were not up to scratch.
From there it was on to the town nightclub, the girls arrived in style in a Party Bus – The Princess would have accepted nothing less. Details of their adventure get hazy from there but it is clear that this group really did cause trouble.
There are also reports of a tamer Stag Party that hit Galway, but nothing to the extent of the Princess and her chicks.
Bring on the wedding!
