You can now take a chocolate and bacon tour in Wexford and OMG, yes!

Well, that's my weekend plans SORTED.

I'm heading to Wexford to what looks like a food lovers dream tour. Having first kicked off last Friday, Galavanting tours has launched a brand new tour which is sure to tickle your tastebuds 1,000 times over. Titled the Salty, Malty and Sweet tour, this tour is all about bacon, beer and chocolate with the aim to create a day you will not forget. On this tour you will be transported around, spending the day visiting different businesses and sampling some of the finest cuisines and beer. The tour kicks off in the Bean & Goose chocolate shop and factory where you will get to make your own chocolate creation in a two-hour workshop. Learning from their lead chocolatier, you'll learn all the tricks of the trade plus leave with goodies. After that, you'll be brought for lunch in The Wilds. While eating and shopping here, you'll be taking in some of the beautiful sights of Enniscorthy. Next, you're heading to the bacon. Yep, up next is the salty part of the tour where you'll learn all about O’Neills Dry Cure Bacon, how to cure bacon, what goes into their delicious black and white puddings and tasty sausages. Your tour will finish with some samples served the best way, a simple “Bacon Buttie” along with a little bacon to bring home! And lastly, it all ends with a beer. The final stop is Drew Fox Brewery in Wexford Town. Here is where Cleverman ale is created. You can enjoy samples of each beer as your tour guide explains the story behind each bottle, the ingredients, the brewing methodology and the clever men that each Cleverman Beer is named after.
