While Inis Saimer is a sheltered, private place the island does have its own private floating jetty, providing safe all-tide access to Ballyshannon's Mall Quay in just one minute by boat. So while you'd have your island haven all to yourself, you could also get over to Ballyshannon's pubs, shops and restaurants in a flash if solitude ever gets too much for you. Logging onto the morning office catch up from your own private island does sound tempting, in fairness.
