Calling all cat lovers, we have the perfect Valentine’s Day plans for you

If you're sick of the soppy traditional Valentine's Day plans, this could be for you. The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals are hosting a speed dating event for the day of love. Their aim is to find a home for lots of single cats looking for love and affection.

''We could not have Feline February without holding Our Speed Dating Event for all our the Single Felines looking for LOVE. ''Our speed dating event takes place on the most PURRRRRFECTLY romantic day the 14th February better known as Valentine's Day from 11.00am - 4.30pm,'' the DSPCA said.

February is feline month for DSPCA which is why they're focusing on cat adoptions for Valentine's Day. They are located on Mount Venus Road in Rathfarnham. They have been posting images and videos of some of their lovely kitties on Facebook and after seeing them, we want to adopt them all. If you're more of a dog person, you can also look into rescuing a canine instead. But if you're looking for something to do on Valentine's Day with your fluffy friend, you could always head to Pup cafe for their event.
