Brides to Be – Two Dates for your Diary This Weekend

If you're planning your Big Day then we've got two suggestions for this weekend that you might like!

We’re fast approaching wedding season, which means every weekend for the next few months there will be various events across the country set to help brides-to-be to make that big day extra special.

If you’re sporting some bling on the ring finger and planning your ‘I Do’ moment, then we’ve got two suggestions on events to check out this weekend.

The Spectacular Vintage Wedding Fair

Davenport Hotel, Merrion Street Lower, Dublin 2. Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March 11am-6pm.

Billed as Ireland’s first Vintage-themed Wedding show, the brains behind this even host regular showcases across the country. Pop-up boutiques, demonstrations and information booths will put the very best of Irish talent when it comes to wedding planning on display.

From original vintage dresses, accessories and decorations to vintage themed music, cakes and flowers to DIY wedding demos from leading specialists and vintage fashionistas.

So if you’re a bride who wants a vintage feel to the big day, you can find out more from their website here, and on facebook here.

Wedding Inspirations Showcase

Tattersalls Country House, Ratoath, County Meath. Sunday 24th March 2-6pm.

Meanwhile in Meath…

Brides-to-be are invited to get inspired in the intimate surroundings of the fabulous Tattersalls Country House. The exclusive boutique venue will host its Wedding Inspirations showcase this Sunday, from 2-6pm.

Promising to cater for all tastes, the wedding event “will provide a unique chance for brides to envisage the entire look and feel of their special day.”

Guests will be welcomed with a red carpet entrance complete with an elegant vintage car as a source of inspiration. A glass of prosecco awaits, followed by some delectable delights served on some of the finest vintage china in the beautifully decorated Afternoon Tea Room.

Olivia Buckley of Olivia Buckley Events will be on hand to provide practical tips on organising your perfect day.  Jenny Murphy of Flowers by Moira, 2012 RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year, will also be in attendance to discuss all things floral and all enquiries on the day will be entered into a prize draw to win a one-on-one planning session with Olivia in advance of the main event.
