Bride Gives Her Dad A Controversial Gift On Her Wedding Day

One bride has given her father an unusual gift on her wedding day – a certificate of her virginity. Brelyn Bowman made a promise to her dad to abstain from sex before her wedding, and when it came to her big day, she decided to mark her promise with a lasting gift. Her father Dr. Mike Freeman, a well-known pastor in the community, received a medical certificate confirming his daughter Brelyn’s hymen was not broken. The “certificate of purity” was gifted with a contract he had passed down to his daughter when she was 13-years old. In an Instagram post, Bowman and her husband revealed the reason they decided to broadcast her gift to her dad was to send a message to other followers: ‘If one person has made a decision to wait until marriage or decide to stop [and] wait, we have done our job! Let’s make Jesus famous!’

Brelyn has since spoken to media outlets, encouraging other women to step forward and wait until marriage before sleeping with their other half. To each their own… we’re just not sure how many fathers would want to know this about their little girl.
