Katherine Kelly, the actress who played Becky McDonald in Coronation Street has hinted that she might make a return to Coronation Street. The soap star who has just finished work on the first series of Mr. Selfridge has hinted to a UK magazine that she may make a return to the cobbles.

Speaking to new! magazine, Kelly commented: “If I was going to be in a soap again, I imagine it would be Corrie. I’ve always said I’d never rule out a return. I had a great time there. I’d always consider it.”

Kelly played the character of Becky for 6 years on the soap from 2006-2012. While on the street, she married Steve and created an enemy with the notorious Tracy, who eventually forced Becky’s exit from the street.

Recently, she has starred as Lady Mae Loxley in the hugely popular Mr. Selfridge. Although a second series has not yet been confirmed, considering the popularity of the show we are guessing it will be in the works.

Unfortunately, we never really got used to her playing Lady Mae after her turn as Becky. We just want to see Tracy’s face on her return really. We are imagining it will look something like this…
