Are You Lucky Enough To Be Here This Valentine’s? Ireland’s Top Ten Most (And Least) Romantic Towns

Right, bags packed, we're off to the gentlemen in one of these lovey-dovey spots...

Her

If you’re looking for a romantic guy this Valentine’s, or you’re hoping to romanticise your own lad up a bit, the place to be is Bailieborough, County Cavan… it’s just been named as the most romantic town in Ireland.

If Cavan is too far, Ireland’s second most romantic town, Arklow in Wicklow, could suit you better.

But if you’re living in Dublin or Cork’s city centre, don’t hold your breath for a Valentine’s card this year… these places have the least romantic inhabitants according to Tesco sales.

More Valentine’s chocolates and gifts are sold at the Tesco store in Bailieborough than in any other town in Ireland. Over one third of all customers in the store pick up a Valentine’s Day treat for their other half in the week leading up to the most romantic day of the year.

Looks like the Cork and Dublin lads would want to shape up…

Avril Mulcahy, the Modern Matchmaker, commented, “These results are sure to get people talking and there might be a few interesting pre-Valentine’s conversations happening in Dublin and Cork over the next week.”

Are you lucky enough to be in any of these locations this year…?
