Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – RTÉ One (6.30pm)

Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore star in Tim Burton’s version of the story about a boy who finds one of the golden tickets to visit Willy Wonka’s sweet factory.

The Returned – Channel 4 (9.00pm)

Julie’s past catches up with her while Adele finally accepts Simon’s presence. Meanwhile Camille invents a new identity for herself and Lena develops a fast-spreading scar.

Two Weeks Notice – RTÉ One (9.30pm)

A lawyer catches the eye of a real-estate tycoon who offers her a job but when she quits, he realises how much he needs her. Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant star.
