iOS 9.3 is here (or almost, depending on how fast your phone updates) and it includes the new ‘Night Shift’ mode.
The new setting is all about reducing the amount of blue light emitted from your iPhone to enable a better night’s sleep.
Night Shift is pretty smart as it uses your phone time and location settings to activate the display colours. So instead of harsh bright lights, the effect is muted and easier on the eyes.
Once your phone updates to the new Software, all you have to do is as follows:
- Open settings
- Go to Display and Brightness
- Select Night Shift and this is where you’ll be able to adjust the various options to suit your preferences
By scheduling it to turn on the evening, your phone will adjust and the lights will decrease.
Apple says the new setting “may help you get a better night’s sleep” and as insomnia sufferers know, anything is worth a try for a peaceful night’s ZZZZ.
