Nicki Minaj is the latest talent show judge to walk away from her seat.
The Starships pop star has confirmed that her first season on American Idol will be her one and only.
The singer will not be signing up for another series.
She wrote on Twitter: “Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn’t trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! MMMuuuaahhh!!!”
In a statement about her exit Fox, FreemantleMedia and 19 Entertainment said: “Nicki Minaj is a superstar who brought a level of honesty and passion to American Idol and who had a tremendous positive impact on so many contestants this season.”
Mariah Carey is also leaving the show.
The news comes after her fellow singer (and mortal enemy) Mariah Carey revealed that she would be leaving the hit programme to concentrate on her music career.
Randy Jackson also announced earlier this year that he would not be returning for the next series which leaves Keith Urban as the only remaining judge.
