Liar, Liar:
While out flying his plane one day, Christopher Shell was ambushed and boarded by a SWAT team. It turns out that his ex-girlfriend had phoned the authorities and told them that Christopher was a terrorist and that his plane was full of liquid explosives. She also added that he was planning on crashing the plane into a nearby town. Nice. The good news is that Christopher was quickly clear and his ex was taken into custody.
Nappy Endings:
In 2007 a woman named Lisa Nowak allegedly drove across America in order to confront her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend. She posted on the internet and informed people that she had worn a nappy in order to avoid any bathroom stops on her journey. When she arrived at her destination, she disguised herself and attempted to kidnap her ex’s new woman. She was promptly arrested when the new girlfriend managed to get away.
All’s Fair in Love and Ebay:
When British radio DJ Tim Shaw speculated live on-air that he’d probably leave his family for glamour-girl-turned-body-builder Jodie Marsh, he didn’t think that his wife would actually be listening to his show. Awkward. Rather than ringing into his show to give out to him, Mrs Shaw calmly took herself to Ebay, where she auctioned off her hubby’s €35,000 sports car for the grand total of 50cent. It sold in five minutes.
Throw Down:
A few days after her boyfriend broke up with her, Christina Reber stormed into his apartment, hit him on the head, then grabbed his balls and squeezed them as hard as they could, until they were almost severed from the poor guy’s body. Let this be a lesson men! Hell hath no fury…
The Ultimate Nightmare Ex:
This story made headlines all over the world, twice but for two very different reasons. In the 1950s, Burt Pugach and Linda Riss were happily dating. However, Linda soon found out that Burt was actually married so she did what any normal woman would do – she left him.
However Burt didn’t take the news well and hired someone to throw acid in Linda’s face. She was left severely disfigured and blind after the attack. Burt was convicted and sentenced to 14 years in prison. Bizarrely enough, on his release, the pair actually reconciled their relationship and have now been married for several decades. Major WTF or what?
