The Garda Twitter account normally guarantees a few chuckles but a controversial tweet sent last night landed them in a spot of bother.
The tweet was posted just after 10pm and asked followers to guess if the driver of the car pictured was male or female.

A number of Twitter users viewed this tweet as sexist and tonight, An Garda Síochána posted a response on their Facebook page.
