It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

First of all, it was announced that the John Lewis Christmas ad is on the way (pause for excited dance around the office) and now, Dublin is starting to become a bit of a winter wonderland.

O’Connell Street is now officially home to a pretty huge snow globe as the start of the city’s Christmas celebrations kicked off on Thursday morning.

A choir was on hand to sing everyone into the festive spirit, while there were also elves, a tree and the six metre snow globe.

Key dates coming up on the Dublin Christmas calendar include: the switching on of Henry Street lights on November 12th at 5pm, the switching on of Grafton Street lights on November 15th at 4.30pm, a free open-air concert at Smithfield Plaza on November 26th from 5.30pm and the switching on of the O’Connell Street lights on November 29th at 3.30pm.

And that’s only November!

Phew!
