Americans Fall For Our Beloved Garlic Cheese Chip As Fox News Labels Supermac’s A Must Visit

Forget the Michelin star restaurants and the hearty country grub, the Yanks love a bit of our post-pub favourite!

After tumbling out of the nightclub, nothing satisfies the Her.ie girls like a tasty burger or a mighty garlic cheese chip and our port of call is always Supermac’s.

It turns out we’re not the only ones who appreciate a occasional fast food fix, as Fox News has named the Galway-born restaurant chain one of the top ten burger joints people should try.

The chain, which was founded by Pat and Una McDonagh was mentioned on FoxNews.com and was included in their regular feature ‘The Daily Meal’.

Taco Fries didn’t make Fox’s Supermac’s shortlist

The piece urged Americans who are travelling to our delightful shores to sample the best of Supermac’s extensive menu including our delicacy, the curry-cheese chip.

According to The Galway Advertiser, Pat McDonagh said it was a “great honour” to be named as one of the best fast-food restaurants in the world.

“We’re delighted to welcome many visitors from overseas into the restaurant every year. I’m thrilled to hear that our reputation has travelled far and wide and that Fox News is endorsing Supermac’s as a must-visit dining experience in Ireland,” he said.

We’re sure the Americans would only love the drunken banter to be had in the Supermac’s queue on a Saturday morning at around 3am!
