Jim Carrey is certainly one of the people who we would consider to be absolutely brilliant at delivering speeches however, we didn’t realise he would be capable of giving a wonderfully emotional speech.
The actor was attending a ceremony at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa where he received an honorary degree. He also delivered this wonderful commencement speech which was part hilarious and part heartfelt.
Carrey spoke at length about his father telling the audience that he learned the best lesson from him: “you can fail at what you don’t want so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.”
