It’s going to be another cracking game this evening as Cork and Galway prepare to go head-to-head once more in the Tesco National League Division One final replay at Portlaoise.
The sides battled it out in epic fashion at Parnell Park last Saturday afternoon where it ended all square after Galway’s Lorna Joyce slotted over the equalising point to make it 1-14 to 3-8.
Speaking ahead of the game, Cork manager Eamonn Ryan admitted that he thinks the game will go right down to the final whistle.
“It’ll go down to the wire again,” he said, but added that he thinks the second shot at glory will benefit Galway.
“It [the replay] has to stand to an up and coming team like Galway, which they obviously are.”
Also speaking before the game, Galway manager Kevin Reidy said there was no doubt that Cork are a “super bunch of footballers.”
