Aldi’s new wedding range is perfect for doing your big day on a budget

You'll want to get yourself down to Aldi, which has launched its own wedding range. Just in time for wedding season, the supermarket is selling all the sort of things you could end up spending a small fortune on online in lovely rose-gold and cream colours. Among the gorge bits in the range is a set of wedding invitations. You can pick them up for €14.99 and cut the cost of professional invites. If you do go down that route, there's a handy craft set there too for €9.99 that'll help you get your calligraphy up to scratch and allow you to make your own wedding bunting and garters. There are plenty of lovely bits in the collection for the day itself, including the 'it' wedding decor item of the moment, a light box. It's €12.99 and would be a nice buy regardless of whether you're organising a wedding or not. You can also pick up fairy lights (€6.99), lanterns, pom-poms, foil and confetti balloons and bunting (all €4.99 each) to help you create a cute DIY-feel in your venue. The collection is due into Aldi stores on Thursday 17 May - just two days before the royal wedding.
