Aer Lingus Flight From Paris To Cork Abandons Landing As Storm Barney Rages

The aircraft circled Cork airport eight times before aborting the landing.

But of course it’s not just the roads affected, with Shannon airport reporting the highest winds in the country and winds at both Cork and Dublin too strong for Ryanair flight FR-1183, meaning the flight had to be diverted to the nearest suitable airport in Liverpool.

Now, an Aer Lingus flight from Paris to Cork has been diverted after circling Cork airport eight times and failing to land.

JOE.ie reader John Fyfe sent these images in, showing the various attempts at landing before the operation was abandoned and the flight redirected to Belfast International Airport.
