A woman’s baby bump is going viral for all the wrong reasons

Cassie Delaney

An Australian blogger is going viral for drawing attention to a really weird fetish we’d never heard about.

Meg Ireland took to Facebook to share her story.

In a post uploaded 3 days ago the expectant mother writes about discovering her images of her bump had been stolen and shared on a “preggophilia” site.

For those of you unaware (as we were) preggophilia is defined as the fetishisation of pregnant women.

Meg writes that she visited the site and found some pretty disturbing content.

“When I was scrolling through this god awful site trying to find where this thread was, I saw some pretty fucked up shit. People who were uploading pictures of their wife to other users, brother in laws uploading pictures of their sister in laws and women uploading pictures of their work colleagues!!! I literally couldn’t believe what I was seeing” she writes.

The site contains thousands of images, drawings and stories of pregnant women described and depicted in sexual circumstances.

And while the blogger claims that some criticised her for sharing intimate images in the first place, the writer responds that she has the right to share whatever images she deems fair.

“WHYYY should we have to sit and worry about this when uploading a photo on our social media sites?” says Meg, before adding that we do have a certain responsibility to be aware of who our followers are.

“Please be cautious about who follows/adds you. Block them if they look like a creepy MF,” she writes.
